How long should my CV be?

The true answer is that there is no page count rule. A CV should be oriented on a reader, but we never know for sure in which hands the CV will fall. It would be more effective to build the structure of your CV around this simple rule of thumb: the longer your working experience the more pages you are welcome to write.

Keep in mind that the recipient takes only 20 sec to scan your CV, so use your chance wisely. Don’t overwhelm the paper with words. Overpolluted CVs are visually and psychologically intimidating, as they create the impression of being time-consuming to read.
